How it works
The mechanism, without the marketing
PRP and PRF use a prepared component of your own blood, concentrated to retain platelets and signalling proteins that participate in tissue repair. After a blood sample is processed, the product may be injected or used alongside an appropriate procedure. The appeal is autologous treatment, but "natural" does not mean risk free or guaranteed.
What we assess
The details that change the plan
The precise skin, under eye, scar or hair concern
Blood count, relevant medical conditions and medicines that affect bleeding or platelet function
Likelihood of benefit compared with other regenerative options
Tolerance for blood sampling, injections and a gradual result
Before, during & after
What the appointment may involve
Before, assessment: A medical assessment determines whether blood sampling and treatment are suitable. Hydration, recent illness and relevant medication are considered.
During, treatment: Blood is taken and processed before the prepared component is delivered to the agreed area. The technique varies by indication.
After, recovery: Bruising, swelling, tenderness and temporary redness may occur at both the blood draw and treatment sites. Aftercare depends on whether it was injected or combined with another procedure.

What changes, and when
PRP and PRF are usually considered progressive treatments. A series may be discussed, followed by review and photography. Response depends on the indication, tissue health and individual biology; a weak or absent response is possible.
Limits, risks & alternatives
The part that should never be hidden
PRP or PRF cannot restore a severely depleted hair follicle, replace structural facial volume or reliably erase established scarring. Evidence strength differs between indications and preparation methods. Risks include bruising, infection, inflammation and poor response. Other options may include microneedling, laser, injectables, medical hair investigation or referral.
