Appointment: Often 30 to 45 min. Plan: One or more sessions may be needed. Downtime: Swelling and bruising possible. Results: Early change; reassessment after settling.
Indicative guide only. Exact timing, course, recovery and suitability are confirmed after assessment.
How it works
The mechanism, without the marketing
Filler dissolving uses hyaluronidase to break down suitable hyaluronic acid filler. It may be considered when filler has migrated, created an unwanted contour, remained overfilled or is contributing to a complication. It is not a precision eraser: the enzyme can spread beyond the exact visible area and the final shape may only become clear after swelling resolves.
What we assess
The details that change the plan
What product was used, where, when and in what quantity
Whether the issue is filler, swelling, anatomy, fibrosis or another condition
Urgency, routine aesthetic correction is different from suspected vascular compromise
Allergy history and the emotional impact of returning closer to baseline
Before, during & after
What the appointment may involve
Before, assessment: Where possible, previous treatment records are reviewed. We explain uncertainty, the possibility of staged treatment and the difference between emergency and elective dissolving.
During, treatment: Hyaluronidase is placed into selected areas. The approach and dose depend on the clinical situation rather than a fixed protocol.
After, recovery: Swelling, bruising, tenderness and temporary unevenness are common. The result should not be judged until inflammation has settled; future filler is never assumed.
Results, course & recovery
What changes, and when
Some breakdown can occur quickly, but visible assessment is delayed until swelling resolves. More than one session may be required, especially where product is extensive or difficult to localise. The next step may be to wait rather than refill immediately.
Limits, risks & alternatives
The part that should never be hidden
Hyaluronidase does not dissolve non hyaluronic fillers and cannot guarantee restoration of a previous appearance. Allergic reactions, including rare severe reactions, are possible. It may also reduce naturally occurring hyaluronic acid temporarily. Ultrasound assessment, observation, referral or no further treatment may be the safer pathway in selected cases.

Still wondering?
Can I book this treatment immediately?
Treatment can only proceed after suitability, risks, alternatives and consent have been discussed. Your consultation is free and does not obligate you to proceed.
Will I need a course?
That depends on the indication and your response. We will explain what is essential, what is optional and when it is reasonable to review before committing further.
Are results guaranteed?
No medical aesthetic treatment can guarantee a specific outcome. We discuss likely benefit, uncertainty, downtime and risk before a decision is made.
