How it works
The mechanism, without the marketing
Medical grade LED uses specific wavelengths of visible red, blue and near infrared light to influence cellular processes without creating heat injury or breaking the skin. Different wavelengths are selected for different aims, such as supporting inflammation control, healing or acne pathways. It is often used as an adjunct rather than a standalone solution to every concern.
What we assess
The details that change the plan
The diagnosis and whether light is likely to add meaningful value
Photosensitivity, eye conditions and medicines or products that increase light sensitivity
Active acne severity and whether medical treatment is also needed
How LED fits with procedures, recovery and a realistic course
Before, during & after
What the appointment may involve
Before, assessment: Photosensitivity and eye protection are checked. Makeup and products that could interfere with treatment are removed as needed.
During, treatment: You rest beneath the light array wearing appropriate eye protection. The treatment is non invasive and should not feel hot or painful.
After, recovery: There is usually no recovery period. LED is often scheduled around other treatments, but timing still depends on the procedure and skin response.
Results, course & recovery
What changes, and when
Benefits are usually subtle and cumulative. A course may be needed, and the value is assessed by the underlying condition rather than by an immediate glow alone. Maintenance is optional and should have a clear purpose.
Limits, risks & alternatives
The part that should never be hidden
LED cannot replace antibiotics, isotretinoin, vascular laser, resurfacing or surgery when those are indicated. It will not erase scars or lift loose skin. Incorrect wavelength, inadequate dose or inconsistent treatment may offer little benefit. Photosensitivity reactions are possible in unsuitable patients.

Will I need a course?
That depends on the indication and your response. We will explain what is essential, what is optional and when it is reasonable to review before committing further.
Are results guaranteed?
No medical aesthetic treatment can guarantee a specific outcome. We discuss likely benefit, uncertainty, downtime and risk before a decision is made.
